The cockpit to control your success: The Data Control Center (DCC)

Logistics processes in your hands – thanks to the Data Control Center from NIC-Place

It is the user-friendly heart of your entire, self-administrable data and partner management of the NIC-Place software application. Divided into four areas, it enables you to exchange all relevant information and do a professional data
processing with your customers. Telematic data combined with transport order data – even on LTL level
without handing over your company secrets or publicising your network. The DCC makes sure you stay in control of your transport, as well as your data, at any given time.

The functionality is similar to a distribution center: Here you can link and enrich data process-oriented from a wide variety of sources. With NIC-Place you can, e.g. use telematics devices and combine their stream with TMS (transport order) data, ERP (purchase order data), WMS (warehouse order data) to generate a whole new set and level of access information. The data received by all sources (telematics, TMS, etc.) is channeled into a standardised format and, if
necessary, enriched with even further logistics KPI’s (e.g. volume in daily/weekly peaks, per lane or region, empty kilometers, idle time per customer, carrier, or loading/unloading point). There are practically no limits to the development of customer-specific KPIs, which are only limited or made possible by the data of the initial order import.

Monitor transport data in a meaningful way: Furthermore, NIC-Place supports the operational in the company by activating appropriate customised and interactive transport alarms, which trigger during the transport based on the parameters defined by the customer. These can be, among others, interactive setpoint deviations (e.g. corridor
definition according to IFS or GDP), as well as door opening/unlocking outside planned locations or routes, standstills,
“jamming” alarms or simply the entry or exit from a geofence area (TAPA TSR). Of course, these and many other
parameters can also be combined and nested.

Networked systems & transportation stakeholders: The transfer of these collected and generated data sets can not only be shared (shipment/LTL-based) with other RTV providers (like FourKitesSixFold, etc.), but they can as well e.g. transferred back to your ERP/TMS/WMS.

Additionally, when forwarding the data to other platforms you can customise and define the level of information
provided to partners (e.g. only telematic data, telematic+TMS data, sub-contractor name temperatures, alarms, etc.).

Creating further Big Data added value: Furthermore, all data available via the DCC and intelligently enriched and
usable within the software solution is directly available in your NIC-Place Data Lake. The data lake forms the modern central component of a mass storage for your logistical data and can be used for further and continuous (power) BI evaluations in an uncomplicated way – if desired.

In short: That DCC enables you to have control over your transports as well as your data at any time and to generate maximum insights for optimising your business from all collected logistical information.
