Sell cloud services directly to large and midsize fleets and logistics companies in road, intermodal and rail transportation within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of logistics processes and is an avid and efficient hunter, developing a customer base self-reliantly to increase local market share and maximize revenue growth.



  • Seeks, Identifies and qualifies new opportunities

  • Calls and builds new relationships with target customers

  • Presents NIC-place to prospects and prepares proposals

  • Uses industry expertise to show the value proposition for logistics and supply chain

  • Timely and accurate follow up with prospects

  • Negotiates contracts and closes business

  • Provides post-sales support

  • Works closely with outside sales and business development

  • Attends and supports at trade shows and conferences as necessary.



  • Enjoys selling

  • 2+ years experience with the operations challenges in transportation or logistics

  • Bachelor degree in business, logistics or equivalent

  • Ideally some experience in selling data based solutions or Data as a Service (DaaS)

  • Comfortable selling to C-Level

  • Ability to forecast and successfully close new business

  • Highly motivated self-starter, efficient worker, must be able to work independently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, prospecting and presentation skills

  • Occasional travel required
